A concession fare is 50% cheaper than an adult fare and some groups and concession card holders are eligible for free travel.

The following groups can travel on a 50% concession fare — please check for eligibility and conditions of travel:

  • Children* 5-14 years using a child go card or concession paper ticket.
  • Secondary students* 15+ years using a green concession go card or concession paper ticket.
  • Pensioners with a current Pensioner Concession Card from any Australian state or territory and using a concession go card or concession paper ticket.
  • Veterans with a white or gold Veteran Card or DVA Health Card marked with prefix 'Q' and using a concession go card or concession paper ticket.
  • Seniors with a valid Seniors Card from any state or territory using a senior go card or concession paper ticket.
  • Tertiary/post-secondary students* who have applied and been approved for concession fares using an adult go card or a regional concession sticker.
  • Job seekers who have applied and been approved for concession fares using an adult go card or a regional concession card.
  • Asylum seekers who have applied and been approved for concession fares using an adult go card a concession sticker for their ImmiCard.

* Concession fares are not available on some non-Translink ferry services.
