New England Highway—(Yarraman-Toowoomba), widen pavement

The upgrade of the New England Highway between Cooyar and Bum Bum Creek has been completed, delivering critical safety and efficiency improvements south of Yarraman.

Improved road safety has been achieved through widening, resurfacing and upgrading of drainage, and intersections.

Freight efficiency has been improved by increasing the road width and strength capacity for B-doubles and other heavy vehicles. Transport productivity and reliability has also been improved while reducing travel time and maintenance costs which supports economic development in southern Queensland and the Darling Downs.
