Redland Bay Road, Taylor Road to Cleveland Redland Bay Road, planning study

The department is undertaking planning for Mount Cotton Road, Redland Bay Road and the Redland Sub-Arterial Road.

The department is planning upgrades to key intersections and improvements to several key state controlled sub-arterial road corridors within the Redland City Council and Brisbane City Council areas, including:

  • Mount Cotton Road (from Duncan Road to Double Jump Road).
  • Redland Bay Road (from Tingalpa Creek to Cleveland-Redland Bay Road).
  • Redland Sub-Arterial Road (from Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road to Tingalpa Creek).

The planning projects are working to identify improvements that once funded and delivered, will ensure the corridors can accommodate the needs of all transport users.

Current status

Phase 2 consultation has commenced and the department is now seeking feedback on the proposed design options for the upgrade of the Double Jump Road and Mount Cotton Road intersection and the Taylor Road and Redland Bay Road intersection.

Phase 1 consultation closed on 12 March 2023.

Outcomes from the community consultation identified the Double Jump Road and Mount Cotton Road intersection, and the Taylor Road and Redland Bay Road intersection as the highest community concerns and priorities.
