Program Highlights

Our top investments included:

  • $5.5 billion funding commitment for Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line (Stage 1) (jointly funded with the Australian Government). Stage 1 is expected to cost between $5.5 billion to $7 billion, with cost estimates to be finalised following further development, market engagement and procurement.
  • $1.004 billion Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade (Stage 1) (jointly funded with the Australian Government).
  • $948 million Bruce Highway, (Brisbane - Gympie), Gateway Motorway to Dohles Rocks Road upgrade (Stage 1) (jointly funded with the Australian Government).
  • $733 million funding commitment for Bruce Highway (Brisbane - Gympie), Anzac Avenue to Uhlmann Road upgrade (jointly funded with the Australian Government).
  • $290 million Bruce Highway (Brisbane - Gympie), Dohles Rocks Road to Anzac Avenue upgrade (Stage 1) (jointly funded with the Australian Government).
  • $75.2 million Strathpine - Samford Road, Eatons Crossing Road and Mount Samson Road intersection, improve safety.
  • $59 million Caboolture - Bribie Island Road, Hickey Road to King Johns Creek, upgrade (jointly funded with the Australian Government).
  • $48.2 million Caboolture - Bribie Island Road, upgrade program (jointly funded with the Australian Government).
  • $46 million Burpengary train station, Burpengary Road, upgrade station.
  • $38 million Glass House Mountains Road (Steve Irwin Way), widen existing pavement (jointly funded with the Australian Government).
