Achievements

Using insights from research conducted with Queensland bike riders and businesses, we created, published and promoted a Become a bike-friendly business guide.

The downloadable guide outlines the potential value of the bike riding market and provides tips and steps on how Queensland businesses can become more bike friendly. The guide has a practical checklist of bike-friendly business features, ideas on how to encourage bike riders and details on where to find more information.

We promoted the resource to businesses through our social media channels including Facebook and LinkedIn.

The guide was also distributed to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland, other Queensland Government agencies, local government authorities and bike riding industry stakeholders across the state, to share with businesses in their networks and communities.

Next steps

We will continue to identify opportunities to promote the resource to encourage more Queensland businesses to become bike friendly.
