Schools to include cycling safety education with new resources

Action 2.1: Deliver a road safety education program, including age-appropriate content on cycling safety, to empower young Queenslanders to safely and confidently use city and regional roads.

Achievements

We are developing a suite of innovative road safety school curriculum resources for use by teachers and students. One such program being trialled, is delivered through education curriculum for students in years 5 and 6 and uses interactive games to give young people simple and practical advice on how to stay safe on our roads.

Next steps

We will develop a strategy on road safety education to guide further development of road safety education resources.
