Achievements

The Department of Transport and Main Roads supported the delivery of the following Bicycle Queensland events:

  • Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Yarraman to Wulkuraka Ride 2017
  • Cycle Queensland Regional Adventure Tour 2017
  • Brisbane to Gold Coast Challenge 2017
  • Bike Week and the Great Brisbane Bike Ride 2018
  • Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Ride 2018
  • Cycle Queensland Regional Adventure Tour 2018
  • Brisbane to Gold Coast Challenge 2018
  • Great Brisbane Bike Ride 2019.

We also sponsored the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety Queensland (CARRS-Q) to deliver the International Cycling Safety Conference 2019 (ICSC 2019), the world’s premier annual cycling safety research conference. 

Next steps

We will continue to support bicycle riding events to promote riding and its benefits.
